No "flat prediction" for end in 1975. 1975 was seen as "fitting."
As Time magazine said in 1969, there was no "flat prediction" for 1975, but Watchtower publications referred to it as "fitting" for a "sabbath-like rest" to begin then. See:

From Watchtower literature on the subject:

(see pages 29 and 30 for the "appropriateness" for this "great Jubilee sabbath" beginning in 1975.)

I didn't hear any promises
I listened intently to this discourse and frankly, this guy never promised that the world would end in 1975. He used the word
!!!!!!!!!!!!!POSSIBLY!!!!!!!! the system would end. Any pretense that he or the Watchtower said the world would end in 1975 is not found in the discourse nor is it found in the 1967 Watchtower page 262...go see for yourself!

wow
It absolutely blows my mind that so many people follow this cult after so many broken promises, and the disgusting fantasies of destruction and torture of non-Witness human beings at the hands of their "loving God".
I rated this five-stars, not because of the contents of the speech, but because these archives of the Watchtower's ever-changing and dubious beliefs are an important part of history. Future generations of JW's will have to look back at their roots and wonder what in the world was going through their heads, all while they were claiming to be the chosen channel of god on earth.
